Drinking water system product compliance
Since 1997, French regulations have provided that all materials and accessories (assembled products) intended to be in contact with drinking water « must be compatible with the characteristics of water for human consumption » (Decree of 29 may 1997 modified). To ensure compliance, all the qualifying materials and accessories must hold a Certificate of Sanitary Compliance (Attestation de Conformité Sanitaire or “ACS” in French). All companies entering the French market with materials and accessories intended to be in contact with drinking water must comply with this law.
Eurofins Dispositifs au Contact de l’Eau France is mandated by the Ministry of Health to deliver the “ACS” certificates.
