Export fraud in the Netherlands

During an investigation into export document fraud, The Intelligence and Investigation Service of the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA-IOD) arrested seven people.
Investigators believe a company based in the east of the Netherlands has been listing frozen chicken meat as other products, such as fish, in documents and then exporting it to countries, mainly those in Africa. The purpose of this fraud? To reduce import duties for the recipient by up to 70%.
Several companies are suspected of fraud: Wegdam Food Link in the Netherlands and 3 Belgian and Spanish companies
